We have 3 stages done on updating an old chassis to compete against the newest chassis's out there. Our goal of doing this at a fraction of the cost of a new kart is coming to life. Here are a few pics of how she started and where she is so far.

We are doing it! Time to bring back to life an older chassis!! The experiment starts tonight. We will post pics and videos of the process. This kart will race 2 series in 2012 starting in December at Daytona. This is an exciting project! We hope to show that you can be competitive and even win on an older chassis. :-) You will see a 2002 Corsa kart get modified to have all the bells and whistles the new Karts have for a fraction of the cost. This should help many racers who are looking to get into racing but lack the funds to be competitive. See you soon!

Race # 2 is at Anderson Race park in Palmeto FL March 4 - 6. Also there is a local series race in Ocala at Ocala grandprix March 12th. Should be about 40 entries.

Daytona Kart Week and Jamie McMurray

Daytona Kart Week was a blast! We did not race but learned a lot. The Corsa and Haase Karts were there in force and had a great showing. If they were not leading the race they were always in the top 5. This year they had the dirt oval karts at the speedway. They ran the manufactures cup during the day and the oval karts at night which made for a full day of racing.
NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and AJ Allmendinger were a few of the pro drivers who were competing in the kart races. Jamie did very well running in 4th and 3rd place. AJ did not do so well as his kart had handling issues. I must say Jamie seems like a super nice guys. He was friendly to everyone, even spending some time with a few kids while in the staging lanes. Nice to see fame has not gone to his head.
While we were there I picked up a new GO-PRO camera which we will be using for our on-board filming. All in HD 1080p! 2011 is gonna be a great year and we will be racing Daytona in 2011!

New Tag engine is in and Graphics are installed

Everything is finally here! We installed the customer graphics last night. They look AWESOME! The Corsa is almost ready for battle.

The next step is the engine swap, moving the KT100 to the Shadow Oval Kart and mounting the TAG motor to the Corsa Kart. This will be done this weekend. Test and tune next week!

New TAG Motor on the way

Slowly but surely the Corsa kart is coming together.The Graphics are in, the new brakes are in and now we ordered the new TAG 125CC motor today. Looking forward to racing the TAG series this year. Hopefully, if things go well we can compete in the World Championship in August 2011 at Indy's New Castle Motorsports Park.
With this move to TAG, it opens the door to use our Oval kart and run some dirt races with the KT100 equipment. This is going to be a fun year with LOTS of racing!

The 2011 schedule will be the following dates and venues. One surprise will be the addition of a new track in Ft. Myers. We will have more details in the next week or so as information is provided to FKCS.

Our goal is to finalize decisions for classes and supplemental rules shortly so stay tuned. We are also working on some cool things for 2011 including providing live timing and scoring via wireless access in the pits!

Training has begun for next year's race season! The Corsa Kart is getting prepared and so am I. The gym routine is getting more intense. We are going for the championship this year!
